Job summary

Humana, Inc. is seeking an Onboarding Representative to support a seamless preboarding and onboarding experience for UM Medical Directors and hiring leaders. You will coordinate activities, communicate requirements, and ensure timely completion of onboarding tasks with limited supervision.

Key responsibilities include building relationships, proactive communication, and managing complex onboarding workflows while maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring compliance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in onboarding, provider relations, human resources operations, healthcare operations, customer service, including experience working directly with Medical Directors, physicians, or other clinical professionals.
• Advanced knowledge of operational systems and procedures in onboarding.
• Experience independently prioritizing multiple assignments within established timelines.
• Demonstrated ability to address advanced and moderately complex issues through interpretation of policies.
• Exceptional customer service and verbal/written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain positive relationships with new UM Medical Directors and hiring leaders as primary onboarding contact.
• Communicate proactively via email, phone, and virtual platforms to provide information and clarify requirements.
• Coordinate and monitor advanced onboarding activities to ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Resolve onboarding questions within scope and escalate when needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation for onboarding activities and requirements.
• Prepare and distribute welcome communications and Day 1 information.
• Submit and monitor access profile requests and equipment needs.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to support onboarding workflows and timelines.
• Prioritize and manage multiple onboarding cases within defined timelines.
• Apply advanced knowledge of onboarding tools and processes to complete assignments.
• Identify opportunities to improve onboarding processes and materials and propose improvements.
• Support the implementation of onboarding tools, reports, and system enhancements.
• Provide guidance or training on onboarding processes and tools as needed.
• Adhere to organizational policies and procedures to ensure compliant onboarding.
