Job summary

Humana, Inc. invites applications for an Onboarding Representative to support preboarding and onboarding for UM Medical Directors and hiring leaders.

You will be the primary contact, coordinating activities, communicating requirements, and ensuring timely task completion with limited supervision. Responsibilities include building relationships, proactive communication, coordinating advanced onboarding activities, and maintaining documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years experience in onboarding, provider relations, HR operations, healthcare operations or customer service, including direct work with Medical Directors or clinical professionals.
• Advanced knowledge of onboarding systems and procedures.
• Experience prioritizing multiple assignments within timelines.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Detail oriented with excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to navigate cross-functional processes and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams).
• Ability to learn onboarding, workflow, and HR systems quickly.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain positive relationships with new UM Medical Directors and hiring leaders during preboarding and onboarding.
• Communicate proactively via email, phone, and virtual platforms to provide information and clarify requirements.
• Coordinate and monitor onboarding activities to support timely completion of tasks.
• Resolve onboarding questions and escalate issues as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation for onboarding activities and requirements.
• Prepare and distribute welcome communications and Day 1 information.
• Submit and monitor access profile requests and equipment needs.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to support onboarding workflows and service expectations.
• Prioritize and manage multiple onboarding cases within timelines.
• Identify opportunities to improve onboarding templates, communications, and materials.
• Support the implementation of onboarding tools, reports, and process improvements.
• Provide guidance or training on onboarding processes as needed.
