Job summary

WEG Electric Corp. is seeking a Business Development Manager for OEM Automation focusing on HVAC and pumps. The role targets growth with OEMs, package builders, and contractors nationwide, expanding automation solutions and system performance.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in industrial automation sales, strong knowledge of VFDs and PLCs, and established OEM relationships. The position offers full benefits and a remote-work setup supporting US operations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in business development or technical sales in industrial automation.
• Proven success growing OEM relationships and closing opportunities.
• Strong knowledge of VFDs, soft starters, and motor controls.
• Understanding of UL508A panels, PLC-based systems, and systems integration.
• Ability to collaborate with engineering, operations and procurement to close complex deals.
• Deep understanding of the pump, HVAC and fluid-handling market.

Responsibilities

• Meet sales goals for VFDs, soft starters, panels, and automation solutions.
• Generate leads, develop opportunities, and close new business.
• Qualify opportunities and prioritize efforts with OEMs and contractors.
• Obtain specifications from target customers' approved lists for WEG Automation.
• Visit sites to review challenges and propose product solutions.
• Coordinate with Area Managers and Sales Engineers to win new business.
• Develop and manage automation pipeline and collaborate across teams.
• Analyze financials and KPIs to forecast revenue and identify improvement areas.
