Job summary

BairesDev is seeking a Platform Engineer (Observability) to architect and scale centralized observability platforms, build telemetry pipelines, and deliver dashboards for self-service visibility across environments.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in platform engineering or SRE, with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch, and OpenTelemetry expertise. The role is 100% remote with flexible hours and international collaboration opportunities.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in Platform Engineering, DevOps, or SRE.
• Experience designing/managing large-scale observability infra (metrics/logs/traces).
• Proficiency with core observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch).
• Hands-on with OpenTelemetry and log pipelines (Vector/Fluentd/Logstash).
• Strong cloud-native monitoring/alerting with Datadog or Honeycomb.
• Advanced English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Architect and scale centralized observability platforms for high-volume metrics/logs/traces.
• Design robust telemetry pipelines for reliable data ingestion/processing.
• Develop standardized monitoring frameworks and dashboards for self-service visibility.
• Optimize performance and cost-efficiency of observability tools with high data retention.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define reliability targets and proactive alerts.
