Job summary

BairesDev is seeking a Software Engineer (Prometheus) to design and manage production-grade monitoring at scale for complex distributed systems. You will implement Prometheus-based observability, create advanced PromQL queries, and work with Thanos or Cortex to support multi-cluster storage.

The role requires strong English communication skills and 4+ years in infrastructure, SRE, or software engineering, with remote-friendly, flexible work arrangements.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in infrastructure, site reliability engineering, or software engineering.
• Proven expertise in operating and extending Prometheus-based monitoring at scale.
• Advanced proficiency in using PromQL for complex querying and alerting.
• Hands-on experience with Thanos or Cortex for multi-cluster and long-term storage solutions.
• Strong background in designing and maintaining observability pipelines for distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage production-grade Prometheus monitoring systems at scale.
• Develop and optimize complex queries using PromQL to provide real-time visibility into system health.
• Implement and manage Thanos or Cortex to ensure multi-cluster monitoring and long-term storage of telemetry data.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to define alerting rules and observability standards across the organization.
• Ensure the reliability and scalability of the monitoring infrastructure through automation and best practices.
