Job summary

SOLV Energy is a leading provider of infrastructure services to the power industry, delivering design, construction and maintenance for utility-scale solar, battery storage and high-voltage substations nationwide. The O&M Estimator will prepare accurate, competitive long-term cost estimates for service agreements on solar and BESS projects.

The role is fully remote with interview discussions addressing location expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or architectural field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of estimating experience.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret specifications and drawings.
• Ability to perform accurate judgments and calculations.
• Proficient in MS Word, Outlook and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Review RFPs, project plans and specs to prepare detailed cost estimates.
• Create quantity takeoffs and pricing for materials and equipment.
• Identify equipment and OEM requirements for estimates.
• Maintain bidding schedules and participate in estimate reviews.
• Collaborate with sub-contractors to define costs for minor scopes.
