Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking an O&M Estimator to prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for long-term service agreements on solar and BESS projects. This fully remote role involves collaborating with BD, PMs, and engineers to ensure timely and precise estimates.

Location details will be discussed during interview. Minimum 3 years estimating experience combined with strong Excel skills and the ability to review specifications and drawings is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or architecture, or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of utility-scale solar and BESS equipment and operations.
• Minimum of 3 years estimating experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication; ability to read specs and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret RFP documents to prepare detailed cost estimates.
• Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs and materials pricing.
• Identify equipment and OEM requirements.
• Meet and maintain bidding schedules; participate in estimate reviews.
• Work with subcontractors to define costs for minor scopes of work.
• Maintain cost databases and estimating software/templates.
• Develop and maintain estimate version control.
