Job summary

Sedgwick in Syracuse, NY is seeking a experienced Workers' Compensation Claims Examiner to analyze NY Lost-Time claims for our valued clients. This hybrid role blends office collaboration with remote work flexibility, requiring NY licensing and jurisdiction experience.

You will adjudicate complex claims, negotiate settlements, and communicate with claimants and clients while leveraging Sedgwick's network and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum of two (2) years of claims management experience or equivalent.
• Licensing for NY required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze NY Lost-Time claims to determine benefits due and adjudicate within service expectations.
• Negotiate settlements within designated authority.
• Communicate claim activity with the claimant and client.
• Report claims to the excess carrier and respond to directions professionally.
