Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking a Workers’ Compensation Claims Examiner with NY jurisdiction experience for a hybrid role based in Syracuse, NY. You will adjudicate NY Lost-Time claims, determine benefits due, and communicate with claimants and clients to ensure timely resolution.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
• Minimum of two (2) years of claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• Jurisdiction Knowledge: NY; Licensing: NY - Required

Responsibilities

• Analyzing and processing NY Workers' Compensation claims to determine benefits due and adjudicate within service expectations.
• Negotiating settlements within designated authority and communicating claim activity to claimants and clients.
• Reporting claims to excess carriers and responding to directions in a professional and timely manner.
• Collaborating with clients and Sedgwick experts to deliver effective, customer-focused solutions.
