Job summary

Sedgwick, a global leader in risk and claims management, is seeking a NY-licensed Workers’ Compensation Claims Examiner to analyze Lost-Time claims on behalf of clients, with adjudication within service expectations. Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred; professional certification as applicable to line of business preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyses and processes claims to determine exposure and resolve efficiently.
• Negotiates settlement within designated authority.
• Communicates claim activity and processing with claimant and client.
• Reports claims to the excess carrier and responds to directions promptly.
