Job summary

Galen College of Nursing is seeking a master’s-prepared nurse to educate and mentor nursing students, helping them overcome academic challenges and prepare for exams and future practice.

The Content Enrichment Specialist will work remotely with a local campus connection, collaborating with nursing faculty to identify learning gaps and implement targeted interventions to improve student success and retention.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited program.
• Professional nursing background with clinical knowledge across specialties.
• Previous teaching experience with nursing students.
• Ability to explain complex nursing concepts clearly.
• Knowledge of foundational nursing sciences and clinical reasoning.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Make Complex Nursing Concepts Click.
• Provide individualized and small-group academic enrichment to nursing students.
• Help students strengthen their understanding of nursing content across specialties.
• Support students in connecting nursing theory to clinical reasoning and application-based learning.
• Provide study coaching in foundational sciences and nursing math relevant to education.
• Coach students on study strategies, time management, and NCLEX-style skills.
• Identify learning challenges and develop targeted academic support strategies.
• Facilitate enrichment activities preparing students for exams.
• Collaborate with faculty and leadership to identify at-risk students and review data to improve outcomes.
• Develop and implement enrichment resources aligned with course objectives.
• Work with faculty and student affairs teams to strengthen progression and retention.
