Job summary

Galen College of Nursing is seeking a Masters-prepared nurse to enrich nursing education and support student success. This role focuses on individualized enrichment, small-group coaching, and bridging theory with clinical reasoning.

The position is primarily remote with on-site campus support as needed. Ideal candidates will have nursing teaching experience, strong communication, and a commitment to helping future nurses excel.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• Clinical nursing background across multiple specialties.
• Previous teaching experience delivering nursing education.
• Ability to explain complex nursing concepts clearly.
• Foundational nursing sciences knowledge and math applicable to nursing.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized and small-group academic enrichment to nursing students.
• Strengthen understanding of nursing content across specialties including medical-surgical, fundamentals, pharmacology, maternal-child, pediatrics, and mental health.
• Link nursing theory to clinical reasoning and application-based learning.
• Offer study coaching in anatomy, physiology, and basic nursing math.
• Coach on study strategies, time management, and NCLEX-style tests.
• Identify learning challenges and develop targeted support strategies.
• Develop enrichment resources aligned with course objectives and assessments.
• Collaborate with faculty and campus leadership to improve student progression and retention.
• Monitor performance trends and intervene when needed.
