AtkinsRéalis is seeking an experienced Operations Manager, Commercial Nuclear – Remote for our Oak Ridge, TN office. You will lead the operations engineering team and oversee design, maintenance and training programs to ensure safe, reliable nuclear operations.

The role requires 20+ years in nuclear operations, strong leadership, and the ability to coordinate complex projects with regulators. This remote position offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits. Candidates must be U.S. citizens.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in engineering or a scientific/technical discipline.
• Requires 15 years of experience. Typical incumbent has 20-25 years of experience.
• Expert knowledge in the operations and maintenance of commercial nuclear facilities.
• Extensive knowledge of RadCon requirements and practices for nuclear facilities.
• Extensive knowledge of material control and accountability practices for nuclear facilities.
• Knowledge and experience related to the development of training programs for operations and maintenance activities in an NRC-regulated environment.
• Previous SRO or RO licensed at a commercial nuclear facility desirable.
• Must be a U.S. citizen in order to be considered.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and directs work activities within ARUSN supporting design, engineering and licensing of nuclear projects.
• Leads the operations engineering team and informs design configurations with operability insights to ensure functionality and reliability.
• Provides technical direction and establishes criteria for projects within field of expertise.
• Coordinates staffing needs and recruitment opportunities for the technical specialty area.
• Leads high-risk initiatives and develops execution strategies.
• Represents and defends the company’s technical work to clients, regulators and others.
• Interfaces with senior technical managers and management across the firm.
• Performs technical QA reviews and assists in project reviews and audits.
