AtkinsRéalis Canada Inc. is seeking an Operations Manager, Commercial Nuclear – Remote for a role based out of Oak Ridge, TN.

You will lead the operations engineering team supporting design, maintenance, operator training, and regulatory compliance across nuclear facilities. The position requires 15 years of experience (typical 20–25 years), strong communication and organizational skills, and expert knowledge of nuclear operations including RadCon and material control.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a Scientific/Technical discipline.
• Requires 15 years of experience; typical incumbent has 20–25 years.
• Strong communication skills in a challenging, multi‑tiered environment.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to foster and achieve goal alignment among participants with differing interests.
• Expert knowledge in the operations and maintenance of commercial nuclear facilities.
• Extensive knowledge of RadCon requirements and practices for nuclear facilities.
• Extensive knowledge of material control and accountability practices for nuclear facilities.
• Knowledge and experience related to the development of training programs for operations and maintenance activities in an NRC‑regulated environment.
• Previous SRO or RO licensed at a commercial nuclear facility desirable.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and directs work activities within ARUSN for operations, maintenance, training, and security.
• Leads operations engineering teams and informs design with operability insights to optimize reliability and cost.
• Directs research and solves complex technical problems with broad impact.
• Acts as a technical authority and interfaces with senior management and clients.
• Provides oversight of senior professionals and participates in QA reviews and audits.
• Coordinates staffing needs and recruitment within the specialty area; supports candidate selection.
