Job summary

Safeguard Law Group, PLLC. is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney to support our consumer protection practice from a remote location.

The role involves drafting pleadings and memoranda, managing a heavy Nevada docket, and communicating with clients and the main office in New York by email and telecommunication. Candidates must be admitted to the Nevada bar, have at least one year of experience, and demonstrate strong organizational, research, and writing skills.

Qualifications

• Must be currently admitted to practice law in Nevada.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience at a law firm.
• Must possess superior organizational & time-management skills to meet strict deadlines.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
• Highest ethical standards and professional integrity.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work easily with senior management and employees at all levels throughout the organization.
• Strong legal research skills -- proficiency in LexisNexis is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining and supervising a heavy & diversified caseload of the Firm’s clients in Nevada.
• Communicating with clients regarding their respective matters.
• Drafting pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, reviewing & drafting agreements, etc.
• Communicating with opposing parties to resolve/settle claims.
• Legal research related to simple and complex issues in contract law and other areas of consumer law.
• While this role is based from home, you will be required to travel for in court appearances.
