Job summary

Safeguard Law Group is seeking an Associate Attorney to join the team remotely, serving clients and matters in Texas while coordinating with the New York headquarters. The role requires drafting pleadings and memoranda, strong organization, and a readiness to manage a heavy workload across consumer protection matters.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of law-firm experience, excellent written and oral communication skills, and the ability to work independently from a home office.

Qualifications

• Must be currently admitted to practice law in Texas.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience at a law firm.
• Superior organizational & time-management skills to meet strict deadlines.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
• Highest ethical standards and professional integrity.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with senior management and employees at all levels.
• Strong legal research skills – LexisNexis is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining and supervising a heavy & diversified caseload of the Firm’s clients in Texas.
• Communicating with clients regarding their respective matters.
• Drafting pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, reviewing & drafting agreements, etc.
• Communicating with opposing parties to resolve/settle claims.
• Legal research related to contract law and other areas of consumer law.
• Travel for in court appearances as needed.
