Job summary

Talantir is seeking an Operations Center Technician to provide 24/7 network and systems support. The role monitors host processing alerts, batch processes, and daily schedules, troubleshooting and escalating as needed.

Responsibilities include maintaining production job schedules, performing backups, and executing startup/shutdown procedures on the VMS host. Strong knowledge of VMS, DCL, and job scheduling is required with 1–3 years in a similar environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• CompTIA Network+ preferred.
• CompTIA A+ preferred.
• 1-3 years data processing experience.
• 1-3 years NOC experience.
• VMS and DCL tooling familiarity.
• Experience with MS Office and fast typing (35 wpm).

Responsibilities

• Monitor alerts, batch processes, and run scheduled system checks.
• Assess problems and escalate per procedure.
• Manage computer operations workflow and production schedules.
• Interpret console instructions and errors to determine procedures.
• Perform regular backups and restores of data.
• Execute shutdown/startup of VMS host system.
• Document issues in turnover and ticketing system.
• Cover for staff during shortages or high volume periods.
• Understand and apply credit union compliance rules where applicable.
• Perform other duties as needed by supervisor.
