Job summary

Hexion Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Planner to develop detailed work plans across three North American sites. You will ensure scope, materials, labor estimates, permits, and instructions enable safe, efficient execution.

You will coordinate with Gatekeepers, Schedulers, Operations, Procurement, and Engineering to support readiness, backlog management, and continuous improvement of planning processes. A strong CMMS background is required.

Qualifications

Experience in maintenance planning within industrial/manufacturing environments.
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation maintenance systems.
Ability to read and interpret drawings, manuals, and specifications.
Proficiency with CMMS/EAM systems such as SAP PM, Maximo, Infor.
Travel to assigned sites as required.

Responsibilities

Review approved site work requests and convert to detailed work orders.
Define job scope, steps, and technical instructions; identify labor hours and crafts.
Determine materials, tools, equipment, and contractor needs for execution.
Develop and package plans to ensure safe, efficient execution across sites.
Create material reservations and coordinate with Procurement/Stores for availability.
Ensure work orders meet Ready-to-Schedule criteria and maintain backlog.
Coordinate with Gatekeepers, Schedulers, Supervisors, Operations, and others.
Support backlog cleanup and improve work package quality.
Ensure safety permits, drawings, and procedures are included in work packages.
Communicate constraints and support continuous improvement of planning practices.
Travel to multiple sites and support centralized maintenance planning.
