LocalEyes is seeking a Swedish native translator for remote freelance post-editing of machine translation outputs. The role requires MTPE experience, IT/software translation exposure, and strong English skills to ensure accuracy and consistency across TM and glossary references.

You will follow client-specific guidelines, adjust formatting and terminology, and adapt to a fast-paced, evolving project schedule while delivering high-quality, culturally appropriate translations.

Formación

• Degree in Translation, Applied Linguistics or equivalent experience.
• Native Swedish speaker with strong English skills.
• MTPE experience is required.
• IT/Software translation experience preferred.
• Excellent English comprehension and writing.
• Experience with TM tools and TMS platforms.
• Proficiency with SDL Studio and CAT tools.
• Willingness to learn new tools and technologies.
• Strong understanding of MTPE processes and tools.
• Linguistic and cultural competence in source/target languages.
• Able to adapt to a fast-paced, changing project environment.
• Maintain professionalism and meet tight deadlines.

Responsabilidades

• Post-edit MT outputs to reflect the source meaning.
• Provide corrections and text optimization based on MT output.
• Follow post-editing guidelines to meet client standards.
• Apply TM, glossary, and style guides per project references.
• Ensure high grammatical accuracy while maintaining terminology.
• Correct formatting, punctuation, and country-specific guidelines.
