Job summary

Qualifications

• Education: Master of Science in Physics, Health Physics, Radiological Physics, Medical Physics or related field; PhD preferred.
• License/Certification: Texas License in Medical Physics; ABR or related board certification preferred.
• Experience: 4+ years of related experience; clinical post-graduate training preferred.
• Professional membership: AA Physics in Medicine or equivalent society; eligible for Radiation Safety Officer duties.

Responsibilities

• Provides expertise in Diagnostic Radiological Physics and Medical Nuclear Physics.
• Acts as primary Radiation Safety Officer for X-Ray registrations and RAM licenses.
• Develops radiation safety policies and reduces patient/staff exposure.
• Oversees equipment performance evaluations for X-ray and other imaging modalities.
• Collaborates with health physicists to respond to radiation incidents and ensures regulatory compliance.
