Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System is seeking a Medical Physicist for a home-based role focused on CT, MRI, and radiation safety within a large health system. You will lead protocol development, build vendor partnerships, guide imaging initiatives, and advise imaging leadership on equipment and purchasing decisions.

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Physics, Health Physics, Radiological Physics, Medical Physics or related field required.
• PhD preferred.
• Texas Medical Physics license required.
• Board Certification by ABR or equivalent board required.

Responsibilities

• Provide expertise in Diagnostic Radiological Physics and Medical Nuclear Physics.
• Serve as primary Radiation Safety Officer liaison with TX DoH and RAM licenses.
• Develop and evaluate radiation safety policies to minimize patient exposure.
• Oversee EPEs for diagnostic imaging equipment and validate image quality.
• Coordinate shielding evaluations and regulatory surveys as needed.
• Support accreditation efforts with the American College of Radiology (ACR).
