Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System seeks a Medical Physicist to implement and maintain advanced imaging technologies and ensure regulatory compliance across a large health system. The role involves leading CT and MRI protocol development, vendor partnerships, and advising imaging leadership on equipment and purchasing decisions in a home-based setting.

You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, report to the Director of Radiation Safety, and contribute to continuous improvement and education

Qualifications

• Clinical experience post graduate training preferred.
• Four (4) years of related experience preferred.
• Member of the American Association of Physicist in Medicine or equivalent society.
• Eligible to be the principal Radiation Safety Officer for RAM licenses and COR registrations.

Responsibilities

• Provides expertise in Diagnostic Radiological Physics and Medical Nuclear Physics.
• Acts as primary Radiation Safety Officer for X-Ray and RAM licenses.
• Develops and evaluates radiation safety policies and practices.
• Oversees equipment performance evaluations and image quality assessments.
• Collaborates with health physicist to investigate radiation incidents and implement corrective action.
• Supports accreditation efforts with ACR and regulatory surveys.
