Base responsibilities include calculating loan costs, reviewing files, ordering required documentation, and ensuring smooth loan setup while working with various verification sources.

Qualifications

• Recent experience in the mortgage industry as an assistant, loan processor or loan officer is required.
• Knowledge of lending terminology and ability to discuss lending requirements with borrowers.
• Experience processing conventional, FHA and VA loans.
• Proven customer service ability is required.

Responsibilities

• Calculates principal, interest and closing costs and notifies the borrower.
• Prepares mortgage loan files by reviewing applications and clarifying information.
• Confirms loan information by contacting verification sources.
• Obtains mortgage loan documentation by ordering reports and appraisals.
• Identifies problems by highlighting deficiencies and notifying underwriter/supervisor.
• Discloses new loans, issues COCs and sets up loan files.
