Job summary

Capital Bank N.A. is seeking a Mortgage Loan Processor to work with loan originators to process mortgage loans and ensure a best-in-class customer experience. The role requires reviewing online applications, advising on viability at first glance and gathering documents for underwriting.

The position supports processing conventional, FHA and VA loans with a focus on accurate data, timely communication and strong customer service. This is a remote role with opportunities across multiple states.

Qualifications

• Recent mortgage industry experience as an assistant, loan processor or loan officer is required.
• Knowledge of lending terminology and ability to discuss lending requirements with borrowers.
• Experience processing conventional, FHA and VA loans.
• Proven customer service ability is required.

Responsibilities

• Calculates principal, interest and closing cost amounts and notifies borrower.
• Prepares mortgage loan files by reviewing applications and obtaining missing information.
• Confirms loan application information by contacting verification sources.
• Obtains mortgage loan documentation by ordering credit reports, surveys, appraisals, titles and related information.
• Identifies problems by highlighting deficiencies and notifying the underwriter or supervisor.
• Discloses new loans, issues COC's and completes loan setup functions.
