Job summary

Capital Bank is seeking a Mortgage Loan Processor to work with loan originators, reviewing applications online and gathering documents for underwriting to deliver a best-in-class customer experience.

The role requires knowledge of lending terminology and experience handling conventional, FHA and VA loans, with strong communication and service skills. This is a 100% remote position within our core locations, including PA.

Qualifications

• Recent experience in the mortgage industry as an assistant, loan processor or loan officer is required.
• Knowledge of lending terminology and ability to discuss lending requirements with borrowers.
• Experience processing conventional, FHA and VA loans and strong customer service.

Responsibilities

• Calculates principal, interest and closing costs and notifies the borrower.
• Prepares mortgage loan files by reviewing loan applications and requesting information.
• Obtains mortgage loan documentation by ordering credit reports, surveys, appraisals, and titles.
• Identifies and communicates deficiencies to underwriting or supervisors.
• Discloses new loans, issues COC's and completes setup of loans.
