Job summary

Capital Bank N.A. is seeking a Mortgage Loan Processor to work with loan originators to process mortgage loans and deliver a best-in-class customer experience.

The role requires reviewing applications online, verifying data, and coordinating with underwriting for final approval. The ideal candidate has recent mortgage industry experience (assistant, processor or officer), knowledge of lending terminology, and familiarity with conventional, FHA and VA loans.

Qualifications

Recent experience in the mortgage industry as an assistant, loan processor or loan officer is required.
Knowledge of lending terminology and the ability/experience speaking with borrowers regarding lending requirements.
Experience processing conventional, FHA and VA loans.
Proven customer service ability is required.

Responsibilities

Calculates principal, interest and closing costs and notifies the borrower.
Prepares mortgage loan files by reviewing loan applications and clarifying/obtaining information.
Confirms mortgage loan application information by corresponding with verification sources.
Obtains mortgage loan documentation by ordering credit reports, land surveys, appraisals, titles and related information.
Identifies loan application/document problems by highlighting deficiencies and notifying underwriting/supervisor.
Discloses new loans, issues COCs, and completes loan setup.
