Qualifications

• Recent experience as loan processor, assistant, or loan officer in the mortgage industry.
• Knowledge of lending terminology and experience speaking with borrowers.
• Experience processing conventional, FHA, and VA loans.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with loan originators to process mortgage loans and provide a best-in-class customer experience.
• Review loan applications for accuracy and completeness, acquire necessary documents, and submit to underwriting for final approval.
• Calculate principal, interest, and closing cost amounts and notify borrowers.
• Prepare mortgage loan files, clarify or obtain additional information, and correspond with verification sources.
• Identify deficiencies and notify the underwriter or supervisor.
