The role emphasizes strong customer service and timely communication to deliver a best-in-class experience. Responsibilities include verifying information, ordering credit reports and appraisals, and resolving deficiencies to move files to underwriting.

Qualifications

• Recent experience in the mortgage industry as an assistant, loan processor or loan officer is required.
• Proven customer service ability is required.
• Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is expected.

Responsibilities

• Prepares mortgage loan files by reviewing applications and clarifying information.
• Confirms mortgage loan application information by contacting verification sources.
• Obtains mortgage loan documentation by ordering credit reports, land surveys, appraisals, titles and related information.
• Identifies mortgage loan application and documentation problems by highlighting deficiencies and notifying the underwriter or supervisor.
• Supports loan originators by advising on viability at first glance and submitting documents to underwriting.
