Job summary

Capital Bank N.A. is seeking a Mortgage Loan Processor to work remotely across core locations in MD, DC, VA and beyond. You’ll support loan originators by reviewing applications, gathering documents, and coordinating with underwriting to ensure fast, accurate processing.

Strong knowledge of lending terms and FHA/VA knowledge is required; excellent communication with borrowers is essential. This is a remote role with benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

Recent mortgage industry experience as an assistant, loan processor or loan officer is required.
Knowledge of lending terminology and ability to discuss lending requirements with borrowers.
Experience processing conventional, FHA and VA loans.
Proven customer service ability.

Responsibilities

Calculates principal, interest and closing cost amounts and notifies the borrower accordingly.
Prepares mortgage loan files by reviewing loan applications and clarifying or obtaining additional information.
Confirms mortgage loan application information by corresponding with verification sources.
Obtains mortgage loan documentation by ordering credit reports, land surveys, building appraisals, titles and related information.
Identifies problems by highlighting deficiencies and notifying the underwriter or supervisor.
Discloses new loans, issues COC’s and completes setup of loans.
