Job summary
Southern New Hampshire University is seeking a Modern Workplace Engineering Manager to lead a team of engineers and administrators. You will guide technical design, troubleshooting, and escalation across Microsoft 365, endpoint management, collaboration, identity, automation, and related technologies.
You will translate strategy into technical execution, develop team capabilities, and provide hands-on leadership for high-impact initiatives while reporting to the Director of Modern Workplace
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- Seven+ years in Modern Workplace technologies and related fields.
- Three+ years of formal people-management, supervisory, or team-leadership experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 administration and multiple Modern Workplace disciplines.
- Experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise-scale technology solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Modern Workplace engineers and administrators.
- Provide hands-on technical leadership across Microsoft 365, endpoint management, collaboration, identity, security, automation, and device-management technologies.
- Serve as a senior escalation point for complex technical incidents, service disruptions, implementation challenges, and architectural decisions.
- Participate directly in technical discovery, solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, troubleshooting, and documentation when needed.
- Review technical designs, implementation plans, scripts, configurations, and procedures for quality, security, and scalability.
- Coordinate work intake, prioritization, resource assignment, execution, and follow-through across operational and project work.
