Job summary

Southern New Hampshire University is seeking a Modern Workplace Engineering Manager to lead engineering and operations for Modern Workplace services. You will guide a team of engineers while staying hands-on with design, troubleshooting, and deployment across Microsoft 365, endpoint management, collaboration, identity, and automation.

You will report to the Director of Modern Workplace Engineering and drive platform strategy, workforce planning, budgeting, vendor management, and service

Qualifications

• 7+ years in Microsoft 365, endpoint engineering, infrastructure, or related Modern Workplace fields.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience accepted.
• Proven ability to coach technical employees, manage performance, and support career development.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on technical leadership across Microsoft 365, endpoint management, collaboration, identity, security, automation, and device-management technologies.
• Serve as a senior escalation point for complex incidents, service disruptions, implementation challenges, and architectural decisions.
• Participate in design, configuration, testing, deployment, troubleshooting, and documentation when needed.
• Review designs, scripts, configurations, and procedures for quality, security, scalability, and supportability.
• Manage work intake, prioritization, resource assignment, execution, and follow-through across operational and project work.
• Establish standards, engineering practices, documentation requirements, and accountability expectations.
