Job summary

CSAA Insurance Group is recruiting a Model Risk Advisor for remote work across the United States, including Alaska and Hawaii exclusions. The role focuses on governance of AI policies and a broad model risk program to ensure compliant, ethical AI use across the organization.

You will inventory models, assess risk, monitor controls, support validation, and deliver executive insights. A strong governance background and cooperation with risk, audit, and IT teams are essential.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in Model risk management related practices, risk, and audit.
• Knowledge of compliance monitoring and/or auditing principles.
• Knowledge of privacy, security, and AI Model governance standards.
• Capable of communicating technical and business information about AI governance clearly.

Responsibilities

• Promote awareness and adoption of AI governance policies, standards, and responsible AI practices.
• Maintain an inventory of models with ownership, risk ratings, and metadata.
• Assess model risk based on complexity, regulatory requirements, and business impact.
• Implement and maintain Model Risk Management frameworks, controls, and procedures.
• Monitor governance controls, KRIs, and policy compliance; flag issues as needed.
• Support model validation and testing by defining scope and documenting findings.
• Participate in AI Model Governance oversight activities including audits and risk assessments.
• Develop reporting and executive insights on governance, risk, and controls.
• Collaborate with internal teams, auditors, and external suppliers to maintain governance documentation.
• Monitor regulatory expectations related to AI and model risk and update governance practices.
• Identify opportunities to automate and streamline governance processes.
