Job summary

CSAA Insurance Group seeks a Model Risk Advisor to promote governance, maintain AI policies, and optimize model risk processes. This remote role emphasizes collaboration with internal risk teams, auditors, and suppliers to close compliance gaps.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in Model risk management related practices, risk, and audit.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information management, data science or a related field.
• Four years of work experience in AI Model governance, Model Risk Management, or Audit.
• Knowledge of compliance monitoring and/or auditing principles.
• Capable of independently authoring and communicating technical and business information in a variety of formats and explaining complex topics.
• Experience in deploying AI Model governance, Model Risk programs across a large enterprise.
• AI Model Governance policy, standard, controls establishment, enforcement, and monitoring.
• Proven experiences in AI ethics, governance, compliance or related roles.
• Demonstrated knowledge of AI governance principles, regulatory compliance and risk management frameworks.
• General understanding of risk and compliance principles applied to AI Model Governance and data management solutions.
• Ability to lead and influence change within complex organizational structures.
• Certification in Model Risk Management or similar.

Responsibilities

• Promote AI governance policies, standards, and responsible AI practices.
• Establish and maintain inventory of statistical, machine learning, AI, and GenAI models with ownership and risk ratings.
• Assess model risk based on complexity, regulatory requirements, business impact, and usage.
• Implement and maintain Model Risk Management frameworks, controls, policies, standards, and procedures.
• Monitor model performance, governance controls, KRIs, and policy compliance.
• Support model validation and testing activities; define scope and communicate findings.
• Participate in AI Model Governance oversight activities (audits, reviews, risk assessments).
• Develop reporting and executive insights on governance and risk.
• Partner with internal teams, risk, auditors, and suppliers to maintain governance docs.
• Monitor evolving regulatory expectations related to AI and model risk.
