Job summary

MassCA is seeking a Middle School Building Substitute to support remote instruction at its Foxborough site. In this full-time role you will complete grading, run asynchronous sessions with self-paced curriculum, and monitor student progress.

You will collaborate with teachers, communicate with parents and students, and help ensure progress toward goals. Eligibility includes 1 year of relevant experience; citizenship or work authorization required.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
• Master degree preferred.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.

Responsibilities

• Complete grading.
• Support the instructional program with asynchronous web conferencing sessions and self-paced curriculum work.
• Communicate with parents, students and other teachers to score assessments and provide feedback on student work.
• Collaborate with other teachers to ensure student progress and coordination with families.
• Support students and parents with daily assignments and projects.
• Communicate regularly with parents, students, and through computer and telephone.
• Keep student records and attendance data up-to-date.
• Consult with teachers and staff learning specialists to develop enrichment activities and modifications.
• Participate in student outreach sessions and other activities that require teacher representation.
• Work with School Counselor to ensure communications and progress toward goals.
