Job summary

Foxborough Regional Charter School in Foxborough, MA is seeking a School Based Building Substitute Teacher for Elementary (K-4). This role covers teacher absences for ten days or fewer and reports to the school principal. Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree, be eligible to work in the United States, and pass background checks.

Preferred is a Massachusetts Teaching License and experience in urban districts. Schedule is 7:30am–3:00pm (M, T, Th, F) and 7:30am–4:15pm on Wednesdays.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Candidates are subject to background checks including CORI clearance and fingerprinting.
• Current authorization to work in the United States is required by first day of employment.

Responsibilities

• Follow lesson plans provided by the regular Teacher to create a cohesive learning experience for students.
• Manage the classroom effectively to encourage participation and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Adapt teaching methods to fit the needs of individual students.
• Supervise students in and out of the classroom, including halls, playground, and cafeteria.
• Participate in school-based professional development days and sessions.
• Other duties as assigned by the school principal.
