Job summary

North Reading Middle School is seeking a building-based substitute to support student learning four days per week. The role reports to the assigned school and begins immediately. This temporary, part-time position offers no additional benefits at this time.

The successful candidate will work with students and staff, following provided lesson plans and offering classroom support as needed. Citizenship, residency or work visa is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree or two years of college education preferred.
• Licensure with the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) preferred.
• Work with youth, teaching, and/or in an education setting preferred.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.

Responsibilities

• Support students and staff during the school day.
• Guide student learning through provided lesson plans and/or classroom support.
• Other needs as requested by the Building Principal.

Education

High School diploma or GED

Bachelor's degree or two years of college education

Massachusetts DESE licensure (preferred)
