Job summary

Middleborough Public Schools is hiring a Building Based Substitute at Henry B. Burkland Elementary School in Middleborough, MA.

Qualifications

• Minimum of an Associate’s degree; BA preferred.
• Experience working with school-aged children.
• Experience in an educational or instructional setting.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
• Ability to multi-task and oversee social interactions among children.

Responsibilities

• Arrive 15-20 minutes early to review all materials before students arrive.
• Implement lesson plans outlined by the absent teacher.
• Report all incidents to the appropriate authority immediately.
• Perform other duties and classroom/program assignments as required.

Job Description and Goals

Reports to the main office upon arrival at the school building, arriving 15-20 minutes early to review all materials in order to be prepared before the students arrive in the classroom.

Implement lesson plans outlined by the absent teacher and maintain professional competence through in-service education activities.

Report all incidences of students, including injuries, accidents, illnesses, and behavioral problems to the appropriate authority immediately or as soon as reasonably possible.

Other duties and classroom/program assignments as reasonably required
