Job summary

MassCA High School seeks an experienced High School American Sign Language (ASL) Teacher to teach remotely and from the Foxborough, MA office. You will manage grading, progress reports, and parent conferences while supporting asynchronous sessions and self-paced curriculum.

Responsibilities include reviewing curricula, adapting lessons to improve understanding, coordinating with parents and colleagues, and maintaining student records.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts teacher certification is required.
• RETELL/SEI endorsement in Massachusetts to be obtained within one year of employment.
• Strong technology skills, especially with Microsoft OS and Office programs.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Student-focused approach with the ability to adapt to diverse learning needs.
• High degree of flexibility and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated ability to work well in a team.
• Willingness to travel to state testing events and to in-person events as needed.
• Ability to work remotely if necessary.
• MassCA Teachers licensed by MA DESE community includes retirement benefits.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
• Master degree preferred.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.

Responsibilities

• Complete grading, progress reports, and parent conferences promptly.
• Support instruction with asynchronous web sessions and self-paced curriculum.
• Review curricula and devise alternate approaches to lessons.
• Communicate with parents, students, and teachers to update learning plans.
• Collaborate with teachers to ensure progress and central parent contact.
• Develop knowledge of the K-12 curriculum and specific courses managed.
• Assist students and parents with extra strategies and assignments.
• Regularly contact parents and students via computer and phone.
• Maintain up-to-date student records and attendance data.
• Consult with teachers to develop enrichment activities and modifications.
• Coordinate social activities and field trips for students.
• Plan and implement virtual school community activities.
• Participate in State Testing administration as directed.
• Engage in student outreach and other duties as assigned.
• Work with Advisory Teachers and School Counselor to meet goals.
