Job summary

Riverbay Management Group LLC is seeking a hands-on Microsoft 365 Systems Administrator to own day-to-day management of our cloud environment across RBMG and its affiliates. You will keep our tenant secure, well maintained and easy to use for a remote, BYOD workforce, and serve as the primary contact for our MSP on escalations and projects.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years administering Microsoft 365 in a cloud-first environment.
• Strong working knowledge of Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive/SharePoint, Entra ID and Intune.
• Experience securing BYOD or remote workforces, including conditional access and app protection policies.
• Familiarity with Defender and Purview, and with security frameworks or audit support.
• PowerShell scripting for Microsoft 365 administration and automation.
• Clear communication with non-technical users and a service-first attitude.
• Comfort working independently on a small, remote team.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day management of the cloud environment across RBMG and its affiliates.
• Be the primary contact for our MSP on escalations and project work.
• Manage Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint including onboarding/offboarding and licensing.
• Administer Entra ID with conditional access, MFA, RBAC and PIM.
• Configure Defender, Purview, retention and Secure Score; respond to alerts.
• Use Intune for BYOD app protection policies and safeguarding data.
• Maintain service health, changes, backups and baselines; document configurations.
• Provide Tier 1–2 end-user support and create how-to guides.
• Coordinate with MSP on vendor changes and standards.
• Support multi-entity configurations within a shared tenant.
