Job summary

Cypress Consulting seeks a Senior M365 Security Engineer to design, implement, and migrate Microsoft cloud infrastructure for diverse clients in a remote-first US role.

Responsibilities include leading tenant migrations, configuring Entra ID, Intune, Purview, Defender, and Azure services, plus creating runbooks and training materials for administrators.

Remote-first with occasional after-hours windows for migration cutovers and client maintenance.

Qualifications

• Five+ years delivering Microsoft cloud infrastructure in consulting, managed services, or enterprise engineering environments.
• Ownership of at least three end-to-end Microsoft 365 or Azure migration projects.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft 365 workloads (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams).
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune and Windows endpoint management.
• Knowledge of Azure infrastructure including VM sizing, storage, networking, and backups.
• Experience with Microsoft Purview and the Defender suite.
• Proficiency with PowerShell and Microsoft Graph for automation and reporting.
• Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple client engagements.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to lead client discussions.

Responsibilities

• Assess client environments and design Microsoft cloud solutions meeting business and technical requirements.
• Lead tenant migrations including tenant-to-tenant, on-premises-to-cloud, and hybrid migrations.
• Configure and remediate Entra ID capabilities (CA, MFA, PIM, cross-tenant sync, federation).
• Deploy passwordless authentication using Windows Hello, cloud Kerberos, and FIDO2 keys.
• Modernize endpoint management with Intune, Autopilot, Config Manager, and OneDrive Move.
• Plan and deliver Azure workload migrations, networking, backup, DR, and Azure Virtual Desktop.
