Job summary

AHG Pay is seeking a remote Merchant Onboarding Specialist who will serve as the primary contact for new merchants. You will guide them through onboarding, ensure access to the secure upload portal, and coordinate with Sales, Onboarding, and Customer Success to drive swift approvals.

The role emphasizes excellent communication, meticulous document review, and persistent follow-up to keep the onboarding process on track. Experience with GoHighLevel or similar CRM is a plus.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Ability to communicate clearly with merchants by phone, text, and email.
• Keen eye for document discrepancies (legal name/address).
• Strong organizational skills across multiple teams and merchants.
• Persistent follow-up to ensure onboarding milestones are met.
• Proactive problem solver who escalates when needed.
• Nice to have: payments/finance onboarding experience or CRM familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Call new merchants within 4 business hours of Sales onboarding.
• Walk merchants through onboarding emails and GoHighLevel portal.
• Confirm attendance and reschedule onboarding calls as needed.
• Review documents daily and follow up until all are uploaded.
• Use templates or create messages in AHG Pay’s tone.
• Spot document mismatches and escalate when necessary.
• Recover onboarding no-shows with daily outreach for 5 business days.
• Confirm underwriting approval and book integration calls with Customer Success.
• Update merchant records in GoHighLevel daily and report status in meetings.
