Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking a Senior MEP Estimator to prepare detailed estimates for Mechanical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, Electrical, Technology, and LV systems. You will develop takeoffs, analyze design documents, and work with vendors to price materials while coordinating with the Preconstruction and MEP management teams.

You will report to the Preconstruction Manager / MEP Manager and may supervise junior estimators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, construction management or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years' estimating experience in MEP disciplines (mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, electrical, technology, LV).
• Ability to interpret drawings, specs and contracts for cost analysis.
• Strong collaboration with vendors, trade partners and project teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates for MEPS trades from design to construction documents.
• Communicate estimates and scopes to Turner staff, architects, engineers, and owners.
• Develop quantity takeoffs, analyses, and cost studies for MEP systems.
• Coordinate equipment pricing with vendors and sources.
• Perform constructability analysis and document issues to the design team.
• Assist with value analysis and life cycle cost assessments.
