Job summary

Premera is seeking a Membership Specialist II to perform complex reconciliation and enrollment activities for Individual or Group accounts receivable. You will resolve enrollment and billing issues, coach clients on guidelines, and support financial risk management for the company.

The role requires strong Excel/Access skills, ability to work with internal/external partners, and adherence to regulatory policies. This is a telecommuter position with a hybrid on-campus option where available.

Qualifications

• Two years of accounting/finance/bookkeeping experience or an Associate’s Degree in accounting/finance/bookkeeping.
• One year prior experience as Membership Analyst I or in a Premera position with reconciliation experience.
• Health or insurance industry experience preferred.
• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance preferred.
• Must meet or exceed department metrics and stay current on policies.

Responsibilities

• Identify, resolve and document complex reconciliation discrepancies; process refunds and transfers; manage enrollment changes.
• Validate accounts receivable by reconciling premiums and member data.
• Use Excel and Access to update eligibility, enrollment and reconciliation of accounts.
