Job summary

Premera Blue Cross is seeking a Membership Specialist II to perform complex reconciliation analysis and audit activities for individual or group accounts receivable. You will resolve enrollment and billing issues, coach internal and external customers, and support financial risk management.

The role operates as a telecommuter within the United States, with daylight hours aligned to Pacific/Mountain/Central zones.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Two years of accounting/finance/bookkeeping experience.
• One year of prior Membership Analyst I or reconciliation experience.
• Health or insurance industry experience preferred.
• Associates or Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify, resolve and document complex reconciliation discrepancies independently.
• Process refunds, premium transfers, reinstatements, and NSF issues.
• Update eligibility, enrollment and reconciliation using Access or Excel.
• Educate members, brokers, or groups on billing processes and portal usage.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
