Premera Blue Cross in the United States (Telecommuter) invites you to join as a Membership Specialist II. You will perform moderate to complex reconciliation, enrollment and billing activities for individual or group accounts, using reconciliation databases, receipts, and Excel or Access, while providing guidance to internal and external customers on contractual guidelines.

This remote role operates in Pacific/Mountain/Central time zones, with hours 7am–5pm PT, and emphasizes accuracy, timely

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED (Required).
• Two years of accounting/finance experience or an Associate’s Degree in accounting/finance/bookkeeping (Required).
• One year prior experience as Membership Analyst I or in a Premera position with reconciliation experience (Required).
• Health or insurance industry experience (Preferred).
• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Identify, resolve and document complex reconciliation discrepancies and refunds.
• Process transfers of premiums, reinstatements, and insufficient funds issues.
• Maintain accurate notes and respond to enrollment changes as needed.
• Validate AR by reconciling group/individual premiums and memberships.
• Educate members, brokers, or groups on membership and billing processes.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
