Job summary

PIF Coalition, a Project of New Venture Fund, seeks a Member Engagement & Capacity Building Manager. This full-time, exempt role is fully remote within the U.S. with occasional travel and reports to the Movement Building leadership.

The position centers on strengthening membership, capacity-building, and policy-focused engagement across local, state, and national levels. The ideal candidate is a relationship-builder and skilled organizer with a passion for immigrant rights and health equity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of professional and lived experience.
• Five+ years in capacity building, grassroots organizing, training & development, coalition building, and/or advocacy campaigns with proven project management experience.
• Experience developing and implementing training development and capacity building approaches.
• Strong commitment to immigrant justice, social safety net equity, racial equity, and economic inclusion.
• Strong project management, facilitation, and relationship-building skills.
• Demonstrated experience coordinating multi-stakeholder coalitions and partnerships.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to travel and work occasional evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement strategies to build power among member organizations and center the needs of impacted communities.
• Develop training programs using popular education methodologies and skill-building opportunities.
• Develop resources and tools to strengthen coalition members' education, advocacy engagement, and organizing approaches.
• Stay current on innovative power-building strategies and project management practices.
• Share best practices across internal teams and partner organizations to build long-term movement capacity.
• Collaborate to design, implement, and evaluate a full-spectrum member engagement framework.
• Strengthen state coalitions and support leadership development and sustained engagement.
• Represent the coalition in meetings, conferences, and partner convenings.
• Maintain systems to track membership engagement and capacity building metrics.
• Support grant reporting and capacity-building updates for leadership and funders.
