Winning Assistants, Inc. seeks a Medical Virtual Assistant — Prior Authorization for remote, part-time work (20 hrs/wk) with potential to move full-time. Hours are 10:30 AM–2:30 PM Central Time, Monday–Friday, remote, preferred candidate location: Philippines.

Must have prior authorization and insurance verification experience to manage Medicare/Medicaid and other payer requirements. The ideal candidate will handle clinical documentation, administrative paperwork, and patient coordination,

Qualifikationen

• Medication prior authorization experience with payer requirements and denials handling.
• Insurance eligibility, benefits, copays, and verification through payer portals.
• Healthcare administrative support in a U.S. practice setting.
• Proficient in navigating EHR/EMR systems and updating patient records.
• Experience updating medical templates and transferring documentation.
• Strong technical skills across multiple software platforms; quick learner.
• CoverMyMeds experience is highly preferred.
• Medicare & Medicaid authorizations familiarity preferred.
• Psychiatry/behavioral health workflow familiarity is a plus.
• Experience preparing administrative forms (FMLA, disability, etc.).

Aufgaben

• Prepare, submit, and follow up on medication prior authorizations.
• Verify payer requirements and supporting documentation.
• Communicate with insurers and PBMs to resolve requests.
• Track authorizations and escalate as needed.
• Maintain accurate authorization records in the EHR.
• Assist with authorization-related issues using CoverMyMeds or portals.
• Verify patient insurance eligibility and copay amounts.
• Navigate Medicare/Medicaid portals to confirm coverage.
• Document verified information in patient records.
• Prepare clinical templates and administrative paperwork for review.
• Coordinate with the in-person office assistant on tasks.
