Job summary

Amgen seeks a Medical Science Liaison (IgG4 - Rare Disease) to build scientific partnerships with leading clinicians and researchers across the US. You will communicate clinical and economic value of products, train external speakers, and support IITs and sponsored trials.

In this role, you will travel up to 60% for territory management and engage at national conferences, collaborating with Medical Affairs and Clinical Development to advance Rare Disease programs.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree is required.
• Masters degree with 3 years of Medical Affairs experience.
• Bachelor's degree with 5 years of Medical Affairs experience.
• 2 years of proven experience in scientific or medical affairs at a biotech or pharmaceutical company.
• Exceptional oral and written communication and interpersonal skills required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a scientific liaison to the medical/scientific community and establish, develop, and maintain relationships with experts and clinicians.
• Communicate scientific/medical information and commercial value of products to the medical community and internal/external audiences.
• Prioritize and work effectively in a self-directed manner in a changing environment, incorporating customer feedback.
• Identify potential external speakers and train on scientific content for sponsored programs.
• Participate in national and regional conferences to support Medical/Clinical strategy and gather competitive intelligence.
• Evaluate external clinical research collaboration opportunities and facilitate IITs and company-sponsored trials.
