Job summary

Amgen seeks an experienced Medical Science Liaison (MSL) for Rare Disease, MD/DE territory. You will educate healthcare partners, convey clinical and economic data, and support scientific engagement plans aligned with annual goals.

The role emphasizes collaboration across cross-functional teams and ongoing speaker training. The position requires a doctorate or equivalent, with preferred advanced degrees and several years in Medical Affairs or clinical research.

Qualifications

  • Doctorate or equivalent terminal degree in a related field
  • Master’s with 3+ years in Medical Affairs or PhD/MD/DO with relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s with 5+ years in Medical Affairs or clinical research
  • Experience in Rare Disease Therapeutic area is preferred
  • Strong scientific communication and partner engagement skills

Responsibilities

  • Engage with healthcare partners to educate and communicate clinical data to advance Amgen’s scientific platform
  • Educate on clinical value, outcomes, and economic data to payers, providers, and stakeholders
  • Respond to unsolicited inquiries while adhering to MSL compliance standards
  • Provide field observations and insights to internal teams
  • Implement scientific engagement plans aligned with annual MSL goals
  • Support speaker training and ensure updated data is shared with speakers
  • Lead or participate in cross-functional project teams supporting MSL strategies
  • Maintain clinical acumen and complete required trainings in a timely manner
