Job summary

MRO Corporation is seeking a ROI Service Admin to handle inbound inquiries about medical records releases. You will maintain excellent customer service, resolve issues, provide status updates, and document corrective actions in the corporate database.

The role requires HIPAA knowledge, strong data-entry skills, and experience with EMR systems. You will interact with hospitals, attorneys, insurers, and other requesters in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• College courses beneficial but not required.
• Experience with MRO daily processes and model; 6 months’ experience preferred.
• Ability to make independent decisions and apply critical thinking.
• Computer knowledge; accurate data entry and attention to detail.
• Prior customer service experience strongly preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and capacity to build relationships.
• Ability to work effectively and independently in high volume environments.
• Demonstrated proficiency in verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Receives inbound phone inquiries from requesters regarding medical records.
• Answers questions regarding status of the request and ensures timely, courteous calls.
• Works with Supervisor to elevate complex issues.
• Maintains positive relationships with hospitals and requesters.
• Maintains knowledge of HIPAA, HITECH, and related regulations.
• Participates in weekly customer service meetings to discuss trends and training.
• Accesses and navigates multiple EMR systems to check status of inquiries.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.
